The Big Five Questionnaire
By Gala Jackson-Coombs
The Big Five questionnaire helps us word your planner’s prompts for the way you work. It measures five dimensions on a scale rather than assigning you a fixed personality type.
The five dimensions
- Openness to experience: your approach to ideas, curiosity and ambiguity.
- Conscientiousness: your approach to routines, organisation and follow-through.
- Extraversion: your approach to social interaction and activity.
- Agreeableness: your approach to cooperation and collaboration.
- Neuroticism: your sensitivity to pressure and uncertainty.
These are descriptive dimensions, not a ranking of better or worse personalities. A profile is a starting point for reflection, not a diagnosis.
How your answers shape your planner
Intentional Alchemy uses a validated Big Five questionnaire. Your profile appears in the 32-page opening blueprint section, and eight prompts across the book are worded to meet the way you work. The core weekly framework remains a North Star, an If-Then plan, three priorities, and six days plus one emergency day.
When you complete the questionnaire
You choose your cover and share your birth details before checkout. After ordering, you complete the Big Five questionnaire before your book is made. You don’t need to know your personality type in advance.
Research and reflection are different layers
The Big Five is a widely used personality framework in academic psychology. That doesn’t make the planner a psychological assessment service or establish that its astrological content predicts outcomes. Birth-chart personalisation provides a separate layer of timing and reflection.
